Ask and you shall receive....is it really that easy?

There is a certain fantasy that surrounds the spiritual life. We seem to simultaneously believe that it is accessible to everyone and by everyone we mean everyone else. For us it is hard. We admire people like Thomas Merton or Pema Chodron, but we overlook the work they put in to access wisdom.
