This is a character defining moment

We are encountered in life by a stream of character-defining moments. Moments when we choose into the challenge or we choose out of it.

The choosing out is always marked by one characteristic: the reluctance or the unwillingness to change.

And the opposite is also true. The choosing in is always marked by the willingness to be changed.

The character-defining moment is the opportunity to overcome not just the particular challenge but also the limited understanding we have of ourselves.
